Microsoft will launch its long-rumoured, disc-less version of the Xbox One S in May, according to a new report on Windows Central.
The new model will reportedly be called the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, and is said to pack more or less the same horsepower under the hood as the existing Xbox One S. Microsoft is supposedly aiming for a 'near-global simultaneous launch' this spring, with pre-orders set to open in April.
Elsewhere, it's also been reported that the format holder is beavering away on a Fortnite Edition console, but it isn't made clear if this pertains to the All-Digital S or the regular model.
Microsoft is hotly-tipped to lift the wraps off its next-generation consoles, the Xbox Anaconda and Xbox Lockhart, at E3 this year. Both systems are rumoured to launch in 2020.
