The HDMI cable included with Xbox One is rated 1.4 spec, meaning it supports all the latest video specifications, including 4K and 3D.

“When we say 4K HDMI cable, we mean it,” writes Microsoft. “The HDMI cable we’re including is an actual Category 2 HDMI cable, rated for 1080P, 3D and 4K, according to the HDMI 1.4 spec.”

This means that your Xbox One will be ready to transmit full 4K resolution media content to compatible displays if and when such content becomes available.

Microsoft also confirmed that the Xbox One will ship with a chat headset, backtracking on its earlier decision to leave the peripheral out of the package.

Xbox One launches in November.
