Microsoft is to introduce a new “Free Play Day with Gold” program offering Xbox Live Gold subscribers temporary access to select Xbox One titles for free, judging by a pair of images taken by Xbox One users.

The snaps show Max: The Curse of Brotherhood available to play for free under the new program alongside current Games With Gold titles Strike Suit Zero and Crimson Dragon.

The offer does not currently appear to be available on the UK Xbox Store.

The name of the initiative suggests Microsoft may be planning to offer 24 hour free access to the titles, similar to Steam’s Free Weekends. A tweet from Xbox Support, meanwhile, suggests that the program could be officially announced shortly.
