UK supermarket Asda has begun clearing out older Xbox One bundles to make way for this Christmas’ line up of SKUs, according to members of bargains website HotUKDeals.

The discounts mean that lucky bargain hunters can grab an Xbox One console with a Kinect for just £200, or an Xbox One with a Blu-ray copy of X-Men: Days of Future Past for the same price.

The Xbox One/Kinect bundle cost £429.99 when the console first went on sale in November 2013, marking a 53% reduction on the initial launch price.

Standard Xbox One consoles are still said to be priced at the usual £299.99.

PS4 consoles with a copy of Driveclub are also reportedly available for £200, although stock of both consoles is believed to be in short supply and possibly restricted to certain stores. A member of staff at my local Asda told me last night that the store had sold out of Xbox One consoles, but hadn’t been made aware of the cut price deal.

A range of PS4 and Xbox One games, including Project CARS, Mortal Kombat X and Final Fantasy Type-0 HD are also said to have been reduced to £10 each, although again, they did not seem to be available in our local store.

The bargains are not said to be advertised in store, but do allegedly scan through at the lower price. Asda has not publicly promoted the deal.
