Xbox Live Gold is being unlocked for all members this weekend, meaning even those without a Gold account can make use of what the premium service has to offer.
First off you’ll be able to take part in online multiplayer gaming, so let’s hope GTA Online sorts itself out before October 4 when the promotion begins.
You’ll also be given access to all the entertainment apps usually restricted to Gold members, though some also require independent subscriptions.
The free weekend comes to an end on October 6.
Supported Regions include: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam.
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico will get a free period October 11-14, with Japan’s free weekend taking place November 7-10.
