Xbox has unveiled September’s Games With Gold, which includes the final offering from the Xbox 360 collection.

In case you missed it, Xbox announced back in July that it had “reached the limit of our ability to bring Xbox 360 games to the catalogue”. However, they are sunsetting the older games with an excellent choice.

That’s right, the final offering will be 2011 Valve comedy classic Portal 2. If you’ve never played it; you’re in for a treat. Once more you play silent protagonist Chell – brought back to Aperture Science just as she thought she’d escaped in the last game.

On arrival, she finds herself at the mercy of insane supercomputer GLaDOS once more. However, this time she’s got help from an AI bot known as Wheatley, voiced by Stephen Merchant. And it all gets weirder from there.

Portal 2 has a great story, ingenious puzzles and a fun co-op mode to boot. It’ll be available from September 16 through until September 30.

It’s not alone of course, as there’s three more offerings for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.

Xbox Games With Gold September Games

Original Xbox title Thrillville is a classic theme park builder from Frontier developments. They’d go on to make Planet Coaster, so it’s fun to see their first attempt in the genre. That’s available from September 1 to September 15.

Double Kick Heroes isn’t, in fact, a beat-em-up. Rather it’s a cross between a shoot-em-up and a rhythm game. You’ll blast enemies to a rocking soundtrack, and it’ll be available between September 16 and October 15.

Finally, Gods Will Fall is an action adventure epic that sees you and your fellow Celtic Warriors attempting to save humanity. That’ll be available from September 1 through to September 30.
