All of the Xbox 360’s entertainment apps are being “unlocked” this weekend, meaning all Xbox LIVE members can access the likes of 4OD and Demand 5.

The apps – besides BBC iPlayer – are usually kept locked behind an Xbox LIVE Gold gate.

Subscription services such as Sky Go won’t suddenly be free to access, but both Netflix and LOVEFiLM are offering 30 day trials to new members.

It’s not all video on demand stuff, with social apps Facebook and Twitter also free to access this weekend.

The free weekend runs April 20-23. You’ll find more details over on Xbox.com.
