Microsoft has today announced the Xbox 360 Arcade, a new console bundle which will hit stores in the UK on October 26 priced £199.99. For their money consumers will get a white Xbox 360 console complete with an HDMI port, a wireless controller, 256MB memory card and five titles from the Xbox LIVE Arcade. These include Pac-Man Championship Edition, Uno, Luxor 2, Boom Boom Rocket and Feeding Frenzy.
“As European families gather together this Christmas, it’s the perfect time to launch a family orientated Xbox 360 package that plays games, video and music for everyone to enjoy,” said Stephen McGill, Head of Gaming and Entertainment for Microsoft UK.
Microsoft says that it is committed to family entertainment and has more than 200 family-friendly games available at retailers this Christmas, including Bee Movie, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, Naruto: Rise of a Ninja, Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action and Viva Piñata: Party Animals.
Microsoft has also announced that Shrek-n-Roll from Activision will be released exclusively to Xbox LIVE Arcade – more details are expected soon.
