In previous X-Men games some of the leading characters had to make do with soundalikes, Wolverine in X2: Wolverine’s Revenge being voiced by Mark Hamill being a prime example. Fans of the series will be pleased to hear that for the latest video game, Activision has secured voice work from Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) and Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler).

X-Men: The Official Game is to feature events prior to those in X-Men: The Last Stand, and will explain why Nightcrawler is mysteriously absent from the third movie in the series. The video game is released in Europe on May 19 (May 16 in the US) and will be available on Xbox 360, Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, PC, DS, and Game Boy Advance.
