The lawsuit filed against THQ Inc. and THQ/JAKKS Pacific LLC concerns claims made in Securities and Exchange Commission filings which alleged improper sales of WWE video games in Japan and other countries in Asia.

The lawsuit seeks a declaration that the WWE is given the right to terminate THQ’s WWE license and claim monetary damages. THQ and the LLC state that “the lawsuit is without merit and we intend to defend ourselves vigorously.“

THQ’s WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007 is only a few weeks from release for PlayStation 2, PSP and Xbox 360 – the first time the SmackDown franchise will be released on a non-PlayStation platform.
