Today, 2K Games announced the two cover stars for the Deluxe and Collector’s Editions of WWE 2K20, as well as some game modes ahead of its release date on October 22, 2019.

Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and WWE Superstar Roman Reigns will adorn the cover of WWE 2K20. The duo are a natural choice, according to Chris Snyder, the Vice President of Marketing for 2K Games. ‘Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns embody passion, determination and perseverance, and they’re both major game changers within the larger WWE landscape,’ he said in a press release.

Of her appearance on the cover, Becky Lynch stated, ‘My career has been about breaking barriers and doing what nobody else has done before. Being the first female Superstar on the cover of a WWE 2K video game is no exception.’ 2K Games is confident that they will deliver what the fans want in the game’s story mode and new features. 2K Showcase: The Women’s Evolution is the narrative mode of the newest game, following the careers of the Four Horsewomen: Becky Lynch, Bayley, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks.

Not only this, but the game modes MyCAREER and Mixed Tag matches will let players compete as male or female Superstars. WWE Towers will return, and will also offer a story-driven Tower concentrated on the other one of their cover stars, Roman Reigns.

The WWE 2K20 Originals is a new addition to the series. It will support the game beyond its launch with downloadable content for player exploration, offering a new playable world and its own theme with each of its installments.

And to those players who yearn for a little something extra, WWE 2K20 comes in two flavours: a Deluxe Edition and a Collector’s Edition. Both editions will upgrade gameplay with the Accelerator and the Kickstart features. The former gives access to all unlockable content via the Purchaseable section, and offers full control of the overall rankings and attribute levels of all playable characters. Kickstart boosts the MyCAREER mode by unlocking and boosting your MyPLAYER ratings and attributes with 25 additional Attribute Points and 8 Additional Skill Points, along with Tokens galore.

Both Deluxe and Collector’s Editions will provide the full set of WWE 2K20 Originals content packages too, along with bonus playable characters Chyna, Hulk Hogan, ‘$500 Shirt’ The Rock, and Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection Mankind. The Collector’s Edition will also come with exclusive physical collectibles, including a WWE SmackDown! Ring Skirt Relic Piece (2002-2008) and a WWE SmackDown! Legend Autographed Plaque by either Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio or Edge.

WWE 2K20 will release on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 22. Watch the WWE 2K20 trailer below.
