Destruction derby racer Wreckfest is coming to the Nintendo Switch on June 21, publisher THQ Nordic has announced.

Promising “spectacular vehicle destruction, demolished car parts and a truck load of fun’ Wreckfest arrives with plenty of content. There’s vehicles of every size from American heavy-hitters to agile European cars and even vehicles like lawnmowers, school buses and crop harvesters. As you do.

To make up for the four year wait since the 2018 original launch, this version also bundles in two season packages. These include 20 new vehicles and roof decorations, as well as a customisation pack in Season 1. Meanwhile, Season 2 includes 12 further additional cars.

Nintendo’s machine also manages to squeeze in the game’s up-to-16 player online multiplayer modes, as well as offline tournaments. And in case you’re wondering, it all runs at a steady 30FPS on the console. Exepect dozens of vehicle options, plenty of game modes and there’ll be further free updates, just like its older siblings on the other consoles.

The launch comes almost exactly a year after the game made the jump to the PlayStation 5. You can check out a trailer for the Nintendo Switch release of Wreckfest down below. The racer arrives on Nintendo Switch from June 21.
