It’s always disappointing when a game you desperately want is delayed but the creators of Worms for Xbox Live Arcade believe their game will be worth the wait.

Worms is one of the ‘richer’ XBLA experiences in that it’ll provide hours and hours of repeat play through its on and offline multiplayer modes. Unfortunately that’s meant a hell of a lot of testing and also re-submissions on what we felt were final builds,” Team 17 boss Martyn Brown told Eurogamer.

As for when we will finally be able to download the game, Brown won’t say but does note that it’s very close.

We’re very close to being able to celebrate its release though, although it’s almost happened twice before, so we better keep quiet and hope that we get the green light soon,” said Brown.

Worms is one of a handful of exciting upcoming Xbox Live Arcade games that includes Alien Hominid HD and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
