World of Warcraft is celebrating its birthday after launching seven years ago today.

The MMO quickly became the most successful MMO ever made, having developed a userbase of 12 million subscribers at its peak.

Throughout this time, the game has expanded with the likes of The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, and Cataclysm expansion, with Mists of Pandaria soon to be added to that list.

To commemorate the day, Blizzard is giving users a Celebration Package item that includes a visual-only tabard for your character, 7% bonus to experience and reputation gains while active, and fireworks.

You can celebrate the last seven years of WoW with a look back at some of the art from each expansion, including Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, and Mists of Pandaria, as well as with Emily’s retrospective “Why I love World of Warcraft“.
