Activision has revealed Raven and id Software’s Wolfenstein won’t be hitting stores as planned on August 4 in the US and August 7 in Europe.

The game will now make it to stores in the week beginning August 17, suggesting an August 21 release date in the UK.

An Activision spokesperson told Kotaku that the decision to delay the game was made “in order to facilitate a simultaneous global release window” for the game.

Wolfenstein will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
