There’s further speculation that acclaimed PC RPG The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is heading to console.

The US ratings board ESRB has listed a 360 version for the game on its site; something cheekily spotted by Gamefront.

We’ve asked CD Projekt RED for comment.

The Witcher 2 already supports the 360 pad – plug one into your PC and the game shifts its mappings to support the controller.

“I can already promise you that if we’re going to do this on consoles it’s not going to look like crap, definitely,” said senior producer Thomasz Gop earlier in the year while asserting that the dream of Witcher 2 on console wouldn’t compromise PC version.

CD Projekt RED has already confirmed it’s showing off a new project at E3 – which will include a live gameplay demo – but have flatly denied the possibility of it being a console version of Witcher 2. Are they telling porkie pies?

“The Witcher 2 makes Dragon Age look like daytime viewing next to its HBO primetime slot,” said Emily in her The Witcher 2 review moments before slapping a chunky 9/10 score on CD Projekt RED’s sophomore effort.
