Besides this, Acer are also running a promotion that gives anyone who buys a new Acer Predator gaming PC or laptop within the period a choice of two free extras, collectively worth up to £129.98.

IEM Cologne: why’s it such a big deal?
Outside of the Valve-sponsored competitions (known as ‘Majors’), the Cologne tournament of the Intel Extreme Masters series is the largest event for CS2 (and CS:GO before it). With crowds of up to 15,000 people filling the breathtaking Lanxess Arena and a whole host of lights, fireworks, and other visual treats, it’s a massively atmospheric event.
24 teams composed of the world’s best players will be battling it out for a collective prize pool of $1,000,000, with the winners earning a victory prize of $400,000, plus automatic qualification into the next biggest tournament of the Intel-sponsored series: IEM Katowice 2025 (which takes place in January/February). Click here for more information on the teams that will be competing and the times and dates of specific matches.
When is the tournament?
The competition lasts from the 16th – 18th August, 2024. The quarterfinals will take place on the first day (a Friday), then the semis on the Saturday, and the final match on the Sunday. There’s also a show match on the Sunday to keep the punters occupied before the big game.
IEM Cologne competition prizes & how to enter
There can be only one winner of the competition, and they will be awarded all of the following prizes:
- 2 x VIP trip with Premium Tickets to IEM Cologne 2024
- Paid for flights to Cologne
- Accommodation for the duration of the event
- £300 spending money
- 100th IEM Special Edition Acer Predator Helios Neo (laser engraved)
- IEM collectors coin & IEM pin
Although we don’t know the specifications of the Acer Predator Helios Neo laptop, the 16-inch 2023 variant scored very well in our review, and this collector’s edition is likely to be worth quite a lot.
To win the above prizes you must sign up to participate before the close of the 11th of August. To enter, click here, follow the instructions, complete the online form and supply verification of your identity. In case it wasn’t obvious, only one entry is allowed per person, and if you’re caught trying to game the system with alternative accounts your entry will become forfeit!
All competition entrants will be entered into a random draw, with one winner being selected. If you’re lucky enough to win you may be contacted via email and only have 7 days to respond, so make sure you check those spam folders!
