Hogwarts Legacy has released, the excitement surrounding the magical title is steadily becoming more palpable. Throughout all of the gameplay trailers that have been shown, one aspect that has largely become evident is that its in-game world will be incredibly vivid and detailed.

Unfortunately, this means that there will inevitably be a few flaws that plague the initial product. In order to address these problems, developers usually release a day one patch together with the game’s release. So now the question is, will Hogwarts Legacy have one? Read on to find out what we know.

Does Hogwarts Legacy have a Day One Patch?

Yes, the game will have a day one patch that players will need to download before they start their journey through the Wizarding World. According to the Hogwarts Legacy FAQ page, however, those who bought a digital copy will receive the update with the initial download immediately.

Warner Bros seem to have confirmed this patch coming however we’re unsure as to when exactly… a good time to expect it may be around 6PM GMT when the game launches for it’s PC port across Steam and Epic Games .

Much like any other day one patch, this will most likely be released in order to address any lingering issues that remained through testing. This means that it may not contain any significant additions other than the necessary fixes. Keep in mind, though, this hasn’t been confirmed at the time of writing so it may yet contain a surprise within. For now, only time will tell what the day one patch actually includes.

It’s also currently unclear whether Avalanche Software plans on introducing DLC for the game in the future. But with the world and lore of Hogwarts Legacy being as extensive as it is, it may only be a matter of time before the developers announce their plans to create one.
