Xplosiv has announced that it will be brining Wild Earth to the PC in 2007. From the sound of things the game will be perfect for budding photographers not willing to risk their lives on a real safari. Xplosiv claims that the game will bring Africa to your PC, along with all the animals that live in the African Serengeti National Park.

The player’s goal is to take photos of the animals, in turn completing tasks that have been set. You’ll be able to explore on foot, in a jeep or even by helicopter, giving you the perfect view of the environment.

Wild Earth is a complete audio visual sensation that throws you right into the heart of Africa. If you like animals, you’ll love this game, adult or child alike, and you are sure to learn something new about how they act in their own habitat,” said James Spice, Xplosiv General Manager.

The animals you’ll encounter include elephants, cheetahs, lions and crocodiles, and you’ll also have to put up with changing weather conditions and night time expeditions. While unlikely to step on the toes of 2007’s heavy hitters, Wild Earth could fill a niche in the market when it arrives – at least until Africa for the PlayStation 3 is revealed.
