The Wii U managed a retail software attach rate of just 1.2 in the US at launch, reports Longbow Research’s James Hardiman.
In the UK the attach rate was reported to be closer to 2:1.
The low attach rate has been attributed to the Nintendo Land pack in for the Premium bundle, plus the high price of the console leaving buyers without enough funds to buy another game.
Digital game sales would improve the ratio, but it’s not known by how much.
