Nintendo has added Golf to the range of sports available to download in the Wii Sports Club.

Golf on Wii U offers “a more realistic experience than the Wii Sports iteration”, Nintendo claims, with players available to scan the course terrain and wind direction on their TV before using a Wii Remote Plus to take the shot. The Wii U GamePad is used to display the ball at the player’s feet.

Wii Sports Golf features two nine-hole courses – including the Wii Sports original and one based on the Famicom’s Golf US Course – and is available for a 24 hour free trial, even to those who have previously trialled Tennis and Bowling.

Boxing and Baseball will be added to the Wii Sports Club in 2014.
