Wii Play is a collection of nine games designed to make use of the Wii remote and until now had only been announced for Japan and Europe. Other than featuring a collection of simple, fun games (table tennis, air hockey, fishing and billiards to name a few), the title has extra appeal because it comes packaged with a Wii remote, but is priced just like any other game.
North American gamers have had to make do without this bargain release, but Reggie confirmed to GameSpot staff at the launch of the Wii that Wii Play will be released in North America in 2007.
Wii Play is a launch title in the UK, and will therefore be available from December 8.
