The Telegraph reports that Nintendo’s Wii has made it onto the Top 20 most popular items on young couples’ wedding lists.
According to Debenhams, the Wii joins the likes of iPods, digital music player docks, cash/vouchers and flatscreen televisions on the most popular items list.
Tracey Yates, senior analyst, Gift List at John Lewis, said: “Two years ago, the top 20 products on the Gift List were exclusively traditional items from linens, kitchenware, china and glass but, in the second half of last year, the Wii sports pack made it to the top 20.”
The Wii, which includes a copy of Wii Sports, retails in the UK at £179.99.
