Kotaku reports that Wii Fit has now sold six million units in the US, according to data provided by the NPD Group.
The $90 game, which includes a Balance Board, has now sold more units than Microsoft’s Halo 3, which according to NPD data has shifted 5.9 million units. Not only has Wii Fit sold more units at a higher retail price, but it’s done it much quicker too. Halo 3 launched on September 25, 2007, while Wii Fit only made its US debut on May 21, 2008.
There are almost as many Wii Balance Boards in US homes as there are PS3s!
