Blizzard has announced that it’s disabling the character of Mei for a couple of weeks in free-to-play hero shooter Overwatch 2.

The news was announced to fans on the Blizzard Support Twitter account, with the foot of the blame being placed on a bug related to one of her abilities.

“We are temporarily disabling Mei to address a bug with her Ice Wall ability that allows heroes to reach unintended locations,” the tweet reads.

“We are working to address these issues as quickly as possible and aim to bring Mei back in our next upcoming patch which is set for November 15.”

It’s not the first time Blizzard has had to disable heroes since the launch of Overwatch 2 last month. Previously, Torbjorn and Bastion due to some bugs found with those two characters.

They both returned to fans in a patch that dropped last week, that also brought along with it the game’s first seasonal limited-time-event entitled the Halloween Terror event.
