The first-ever major collaboration for Overwatch 2 is on the horizon as the popular One-Punch Man anime is set to join forces with the equally famous team-based FPS title.

The upcoming event is set to feature a bunch of unique skins and cosmetics from the well-known show, which are all set to be revealed before its eventual release date. So in order to help you prepare for its impending arrival, we’ve written down all you’ll need to know below.

What is the Overwatch 2 One Punch Man event?

The One-Punch Man event is Overwatch 2’s first-ever major IP collaboration that will feature a variety of themed cosmetics from the popular animated series. The most notable outfit that will be included throughout its duration is none other than the Saitama Doomfist skin that captures the likeness of the anime’s protagonist himself.

According to Blizzard and PlayStation’s latest announcement, the Genos skin for Genji will be introduced during the event. This can be earned by completing various themed challenges once the collaboration itself has begun. Based on additional statements from Overwatch 2 associate product director Aimee Dennett, there will also be a few in-game easter eggs that fans of the anime will surely be able to recognize.

When is the Overwatch 2 One Punch Man event?

The One-Punch Man collaboration will begin on March 7 and will end on April 6. During this time, a large number of themed challenges will be available that players can complete in order to obtain rare rewards, such as the previously mentioned Genos Genji skin.

During the lead up to the event, Blizzard is also planning to reveal each item that’s set to be included which could mean that there may be more valuable prizes up for grabs. With that said, we won’t actually know what the entire catalog is going to be until it’s been shown. We’re expecting that to happen as the event launches this week – so we’ll update when we know more.
