The holiday season in Modern Warfare 2 is coming to a close and this means that some of its themed offerings will be ending soon. This includes the Christmas-themed version of the chaotic and action-packed Shipment map.

Now that the celebration is nearing its final days, the community wants to know when exactly the festive event ends in the game. Luckily, we’re here to provide all the information you need to know regarding the winter occasion’s end date.

Here’s what we know about the end date of Shipmas.

When does Shipmas end in Modern Warfare 2?

Shipmas and ‘The Naughty List’ playlist will end on January 4, 2023 at approximately 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM GMT. The concluding date has already been confirmed according to an official Twitter post, however, the specific end time is still up in the air.

With the holiday iteration of this popular location disappearing soon, some players have suggested adding it permanently to the game. It seems like a majority of users are enjoying the mode due to the celebratory environment change and improved visibility that it provides.

But much like previous holiday offerings in past years, the developers are removing this selection in order to prevent it from taking up space in game files once it’s no longer offered.

With this in mind, the community will unfortunately have to wait again until the end of 2023 to play on a Christmas-themed locale. The player base can, however, continue to enjoy fast-paced and thrilling matches on the typical Shipment map. The regular, cargo-filled area will be returning to the rotation once the event itself ends on the aforementioned date.
