Destiny: The Taken King will launch at 10am BST / 2am PST tomorrow, September 15, Bungie has confirmed.

That means that if you were hoping to get an hour or so in tonight before heading off to bed, you may be out of luck.

Destiny: The Taken King raises the level cap to 40 and introduces brand new legendary and exotic weapons, additional Story missions, new Strikes, a new Raid and new Crucible maps.

The expansion is available as a £39.99 digital upgrade to players who have previously purchased Destiny and its earlier two expansion packs, or in a complete digital and physical package.

The original base game, House of Wolves and The Dark Below are all required to play The Taken King.
