Watch Dogs’ creative director has confirmed the hardware required to run Watch Dogs on Ultra, revealing that users will need at least an Intel Core i7-4770K processor and a GeForce GTX 780 graphics card.
“We expect a lot of different specs to run the game at a high,” Jonathan Morin posted on Twitter. “But here are the ultra specs for the few who have them and ask for it…
“Ultra specs : Intel Core i7-4770K with a GeForce 780. The PC video was recorded on an Intel Core i7-3930K with a GeForce Titan IIRC.”
He also answered questions regarding the PC version’s NVIDIA exclusive features, confirming that “the only feature not available to AMD is Nvidia TXAA. HBAO+, although developed by Nvidia, also works on AMD.”
So, how much would it cost you to upgrade your rig to run at Ultra? Current prices pin a GeForce GTX 780 at around £400, with the i7-4770K set at about £235.
