Sony has removed claims stating that the PlayStation 4 version of Watch Dogs will run at 1080p/60fps, but continues to state that the PS4 game will “offer the best graphics on any console” and let players “experience Watch_Dogs in a way that only PS4 can provide”.
The claims were removed following days of speculation about the PS4 game’s performance, which had previously been expected to render at 1080p/30fps.
Even less is known about the Xbox One version, which is rumoured to run at 960p/30fps.
Ubisoft has yet to comment, although Sony’s decision to remove its claims suggest they may have been inaccurate.
Watch Dogs launches on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on May 27, with a Wii U version following in autumn.
