Wasteland 2 is “likely” to be delayed until September, inXile has warned, while the developer prepares physical discs for launch. The game was previously due to launch this month.

“It’s pretty likely that we will slip into the first or second week in September due to fulfilment of the physical goods and discs,” the developer said on the game’s Kickstarter page. “We will give an exact date as soon as we know it.”

There’s no explanation as to why the discs are taking longer to arrive than expected, but if you can’t wait to give the post-apocalyptic RPG a go, backers can get a headstart by trying out the Early Access version on Steam.
