Warzone 2 Won’t Include Your Current Kills Once It Starts Tracking Stats

The Warzone 2 midseason update brings a plethora of new features and improvements that address some of the issues during the game’s initial phase.

A specific gripe that the community had previously was the lack of a stat tracker for their battle royale matches. Players had no way of knowing what their KD ratio and win percentage was in-game and they often had to resort to third-party apps to learn what these were.

Based on a CoD blog post, however, users will finally be able to track their stats once the midseason update goes live. But the only problem with it is that it won’t be including the kills that you’ve accumulated so far in the game.

According to their announcement, “the statistics present in the Warzone 2.0 Combat Record will only be from the activation date forward, and will not include statistics from Season 01 launch to Season 01 Reloaded.”

Community response has been extremely negative regarding the revelation of these facts. A popular post on Reddit has even stated that their current stats not counting is “unbelievable.” Comments under the same thread echo the poster’s sentiment.

One response had this to say about the exclusion of a basic in-game feature: “I don’t actually understand this because the game keeps track of your WZ extractions for titles and stickers. How can they not just leverage that same data?”

The top reply, however, was of a different opinion entirely as they stated the following: “Oh no, all the fun I had doesn’t count because the game wasn’t counting.”, implying that enjoying the game is more important than trivial stat collection.

Now that Warzone 2 will finally be tracking stats, players can start racking up those wins and kills once again. Unfortunately for others, the record that they worked hard for previously won’t be included.
