Koei Tecmo pulled the wraps off the next chapter in the Warriors Orochi franchise during Japan’s Omega Force 20th Anniversary bash over the weekend.
Warriors Orochi 4 is the first core entry in the popular hack-‘n-slash franchise since 2012, and will be launching in the US and UK at some point this year. Platforms haven’t been confirmed yet, but PS4 and Xbox One sound like a safe bet to us.
As with previous games, Warriors Orochi 4 will be a mashup of characters from the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors franchises, although it isn’t yet known if it will adopt the open-world setting of the former’s most recent instalment.Â
