Sony Computer Entertainment has announced the April release of Operation: Broken Mirror, the second downloadable expansion for Warhawk.

Available exclusively on PSN in April, Operation: Broken Mirror will include the Vaporfield Glacier, a new Eucadian stronghold where snow covers a network of freeways and towns, including the war torn Radial Village.

The Eucadian army has established a research base in the southern polar wastes, however a mole in the camp has leaked intelligence to the Chernovan command initiating an invasion force. The battle will play out across seven arenas, each capable of holding varying numbers of players.

Also included in the expansion is the Armoured Personnel Carrier, designed for rapid infiltration of up to six passengers through enemy lines. Once at its destination the carrier acts as a forward spawn point for swarms of reinforcements. The APC is available for both the Eucadians and Chernovans.

Before the launch of Operation: Broken Mirror a downloadable patch set for release early in April will introduce two new troop weapons: the Bio Field Generator and the wrench. The wrench replaces the knife and can be used as a melee weapon that can kill enemy infantry with a single strike, but it can also be used to repair friendly vehicles and damage enemy vehicles. The Bio Field Generator also replaces the knife and is deployed like a proximity mine, sticking to walls and vehicles. It generates a nanite cloud of your team’s colour: allied troops experience rapid health regeneration with the enemy experiencing rapid health degeneration.

Operation: Broken Mirror will be released in April priced £3.99.
