Namco Bandai has announced the development of Warhammer: Battle March for the Xbox 360 and Warhammer: Mark of Chaos – Battle March for the PC.

Battle March marks the debut of the tactical real-time action series on the Xbox 360, and features all the content from the hit PC title, Mark of Chaos, plus a host of new content, intuitive control schemes and Xbox LIVE play.

Players will be able to control six unique armies – the Empire, Chaos, Skaven, High Elves and the new Dark Elf and Orcs & Goblins forces – as they battle for supremacy in a world torn apart by constant warfare. Players can also control Heroes and Champions for each army, high-powered units that gain new abilities as they tear through the opposition.

The Xbox 360 game also features two control schemes: one for the master battlefield tactician and one for the novice. Each promises to offer full control over all aspects of the player’s army.

Xbox LIVE gamers will also have the option to battle online. Up to four players can engage in head-to-head and team-based gameplay modes.

PC gamers already versed in Warhammer: Mark of Chaos can look forward to Battle March in the form on an expansion. This will feature new units for each army, two new armies, an original campaign and new online modes.

Warhammer: Battle March for Xbox 360 and Warhammer: Mark of Chaos – Battle March for the PC are scheduled for release in 2008.
