More updates are in the works for Saber Interactive’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Alongside early development of the game’s sequel, Space Marine 3, Saber is still dedicated to bringing more Operations, PvP maps, weapons and more to the action title.

After releasing the game’s massive Patch 8 update with the game’s new Siege Mode, Saber Interactive confirmed that other major updates are in the works. In a future update, Space Marine 2 players will be able to enjoy a massive customisation overhaul.

Space Marine 2 customisation update is coming

In a blog post to fans, Saber Interactive confirmed that a major customisation update is in the works. When the update launches, players will be able to reuse chapter champion armour parts on other classes, allowing for far more options than before.

However, when the update launches, there will be a number of restrictions on what players can customise. With Games Workshop spending ages making sure that, for example, Titus’ ankles are exactly as they should be, the new customisation options will be beholden to lore restrictions. Additionally, players won’t be combine parts that have clipping issues.

“We are preparing a very big update for customisation, players will be able to reuse chapter champion armour parts on other classes (with lore accuracy, clipping and technical restrictions),” the Space Marine 2 developer said. “While it’s not going to be in this patch, we wanted to mention this in this patch notes to assure you that we are going to continue expanding our customisation system.”

Alongside the upcoming customisation update, Space Marine 2 will also be receiving a massive rebalancing update in the future.

“With the next big update we are going to focus on weapon versions balance inside each archetype, because this is where we see a big room for improvements,” Saber Interactive told fans.
