Wargaming will reveal its unannounced console title during E3 next month.
The mystery title, which is in development at Wargaming West (previously Day 1 Studios), will be Wargaming’s first console title. The company has previously released hugely-popular PC MMO World of Tanks, and is working on follow-ups World of Warplanes and World of Warships.
Both World of Warplanes and World of Warships will be shown alongside the console title at E3, but it isn’t yet known whether the console title will be linked to Wargaming’s war series, or a completely new IP.
Judging by comments made by Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi last month, however, the game is expected to be a current-gen title.
“Right now, we aren’t doing anything for PlayStation 4,” he told GamesIndustry.biz back in April, “but nobody knows what the future holds for us.”
Day 1 Studios, which was acquired by Wargaming in January for $20m, has previously developed spooky shooter F.E.A.R. 3 and environment-manipulation game Fracture.
