Despite its cutesy visuals and loveable characters, Viva Piñata didn’t really turn out to be a game for kids, instead a game adults could happily play and that children would watch intently.
The animated television series is very much a ‘for kids’ product and Microsoft is surely hoping that Viva Piñata: Party Animals’ party game approach will have the same appeal.
PinataIsland.info recently caught up with Krome Studios’ Cameron Davis, lead designer on Party Animals who revealed news of new characters and an imminent demo.
“There will be eight playable characters in the game – six of which have already been seen on the television show,” said Davis. “Fergy, Franklin, Hudson and Paulie are of course familiar to everyone. Two female characters from series one will be playable, and two more from series two will make their debut in the game.
And what of a playable demo? Davis says it should be out “very, very, very soon, if not already. Well it’s not already out, so we can assume it will be soon.
Viva Piñata: Party Animals is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 later this year.
