The Cave will release in Europe next Wednesday, January 23, on PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade, Steam and the Wii U eShop, SEGA has announced.
Double Fine’s side-scrolling platform adventure, which was created by Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert, follows seven characters on a Metroidvania adventure through a magical cave, and sees players switching between characters to solve puzzles and progress.
The game is due to cost £9.99 on PSN, Steam and Wii U, and 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE Arcade.
We went hands with The Cave late last year, before sitting down to have a chat with creator Gilbert about being a “total pessimist” and life at Double Fine following its Kickstarter success.
