Dontnod Entertainment's blood-sucking RPG Vampyr is getting a fresh load of content later this summer.

The Life is Strange developer confirmed that a new update will allow players to sink their teeth into two new game modes, as well as a bunch of optimisation tweaks that haven't been outlined just yet.

Furthermore, players can also have the option of playing through the campaign via the new 'Story' mode, which puts combat on the backburner in favour of shoving the narrative into the spotlight.

Vampyr's new update also adds a new Hard mode to the proceedings, which offers tougher scraps and gives you fewer experience points for kills. In other words, you're going to have to rely more on draining the claret from London's innocent citizens to get your XP fix.

There's no release date for the update in sight just yet, but we'll let you know as soon as we hear anything.

Vampyr clawed its way out of its coffin on June 5 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Despite some issues with the game's combat, Dontnod's ambitious, gothic-flavoured adventurer wasn't half bad.
