SEGA has confirmed that Valkyria Chronicles 4 will ship for PS4, Xbox One, and Switch in the US and UK this fall.

While a concrete release date has yet to be revealed by the gaming giant, Amazon has gone live with a pre-order page for the tactical RPG claiming it’ll be out on October 16, although this is by no means an official confirmation. Valkyria Chronicles 4 is pencilled in for a March 21 release in its native Japan.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is the first core entry in the cult franchise since 2011’s third instalment on PlayStation Portable. This latest game adheres to the same style as the previous titles, although it introduces a new Grenadier class that is able to lob mortar rounds at enemies. Elsewhere, the Brave system lets you consume 1 CP and boost the stats of your allies when one of your teammates is about to kick the bucket.

2018 marks the tenth anniversary of the Valkyria Chronicles franchise, with the original game having launched on the PS3 back in 2008, and was remastered for modern consoles a few years back. The most recent outing came out last year in the shape of the spin-off title, Valkyria Chronicles Revolution.Â
