Next year’s entry in the MotoGP franchise is to focus on the career of Italian racer Valentino Rossi, publisher PQube has announced.

Due for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC in June 2016, Valentino Rossi: The Game will allow players to “retrace Rossi’s career from its beginnings to the present day”, “discover the world of the Valentino Rossi Ranch”, “participate in thrilling Flat Track races” and even “take control of a Rally car and let loose on various tracks such as the Monza Rally”.

You’ll also be able to participate in the 2016 MotoGP championship season and other online and offline game modes. The game is being developed by Milestone, the developer behind MotoGP 13, 14 and 15, Ride and next year’s Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo.

“I’m happy to announce that I’ll participate in the making of Valentino Rossi The Game, along with the guys at Milestone,” said Rossi. “We chose to include both the most important elements of my MotoGP career, and all the extra circuit stuff that are so important to me, like Ranch, Rally and more. It will be fun to approach the game not only as a gamer, but also as a ‘test driver’. I’ll work with the development team to make sure all fans will get the best experience they ever had.”

“We are really enthusiastic about this partnership and project”, added Milestone VP Luisa Bixio. “Milestone has been developing MotoGP for a few years, but the experience we are going to offer all motorcycle racing and Valentino fans this year is quite simply unique.”

The first screenshots and footage of the game have yet to be revealed, but for an early teaser, take a look at the announcement trailer below.
