Harmonix and EA have confirmed that the highly anticipated Rock Band for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will be released in North America on November 23 with a retail price of $169.99.

For their money gamers will get a wired drum kit, guitar and microphone, plus a copy of the game. The Xbox 360’s Stratocaster guitar will be wired while the PS3 version will be wireless.

The PlayStation 2 version will be released on December 10 and will retail for $10 less at $159.99. All peripherals and the game will also be sold separately.

There’s no word on a UK release or price just yet, but a direct currency conversion puts the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions at approximately £85, so around £100 doesn’t seem out of the question.
