Microsoft has announced that the launch of Kinect for Xbox 360 in North America will be supported with a line-up of 17 games.
These include the bundled Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, Kinectimals, Dance Central and Joy Ride.
North American Kinect launch line-up:
Kinect Adventures
Kinect Sports
Kinectimals
Game Party: In Motion
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 The Videogame
Your Shape: Fitness Evolved
Dance Central
The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout
DanceMasters
EA SPORTS Active 2
Zumba Fitness
MotionSports
DECA SPORTS FREEDOM
Kinect Joy Ride
ADRENALIN MISFITS
Fighters Uncaged
SONIC FREE RIDER
With six dance/fitness titles and four sports compilations forming over half the launch line-up, it can hardly be called diverse. Microsoft is clearly going after the same crowd that have been snapping up Wiis, so you’ll find very little designed to appeal to the Xbox 360’s traditionally core fanbase.
However, with Halo: Reach already out, Fable III coming later this month, and Call of Duty: Black Ops and NFS Hot Pursuit coming in November, there’s plenty for the core demographic to be getting on with.
