According to a report on Kotaku, Supermassive Games' ghostly adventurer The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan will bring back the psychologist mechanic seen in its 2015 teen horror hit, Until Dawn.

Well, to be precise, it will feature something similar to that feature. Instead of the psychologist that you'd speak to outside of the core storyline, Supermassive's nautical-flavoured scare-'em-up will switch the role up with that of a curator. Again, this character will be featured periodically, where you'll converse with them and answer questions about the choices you've made and how things are generally going.

Kotaku notes that the curator will be 'extremely similar' to the psychologist in the PlayStation 4-exclusive spook fest, and your answers are expected to have an impact on how the story will play out.

Man of Medan is just one of a number of short horror stories that forms The Dark Pictures Anthology, with four games in the pipeline. Unlike Until Dawn, Man of Medan will be a multiplayer title, launching on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.

Supermassive Games has confirmed that The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan will launch in 2019. Read our impressions here.
