Unpacking developer Witch Beam Games has hidden an Easter egg in the game, depicting the cover art for the studio’s next release.

The upcoming game is TemPoPo—at least, for now—and Witch Beam has yet to unveil it to the world. But the developer has said the following, in a blog post (via Eurogamer):

“A pixel art rendition of the key art for our next game exists somewhere inside Unpacking, and no one has found it yet! Let us know if you find it!”

So there you have it. We will wait to see if anyone digs it up. In other recent Unpacking news, the game arrived on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 last month. It launched on Switch, PC, and Xbox last November.

I relished the game, though I found it not without its shortfalls. In a piece that I wrote on the way that it tells its story, I said:

“When its happenings do strike—a photograph, harbouring painful memories, in need of hiding; the company, and clutter, of another soul—they lack the weight of texture. . . . Those beats are skilfully conceived and communicated, and, if I failed to be moved by the drama of Unpacking, it’s because I was far too busy appreciating its conception.”
