SEGA and Petroglyph’s upcoming RTS, Universe at War: Earth Assault is scheduled for release on PC at the end of the year and Xbox 360 early in 2008, but a select few will be able to try the game months before release.
Sign-ups to the Universe at War beta test have now opened. You’ll need to head over to SEGA.com and enter a few details before August 15 and hope that you’re selected to take part.
Those that are chosen to take part will be able to help Petroglyph balance the game’s combat mechanics – sounds like fun.
It’s all set to kick off on August 15 and participants will be sent more information closer to that date.
Rather excitingly, Universe at War will be one of the fist titles to support cross-platform play between PC and Xbox 360 using Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE and Windows LIVE services. There’s currently no word on an Xbox 360 beta.
