Sales of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection increased by 999% during Black Friday week, according to figures revealed by GFK Chart-Track, soaring up the charts from No.24 to No.9.

The game’s success can largely be attributed to its inclusion in multiple PS4 bundles, which were reduced to as little as £239.99 during last week’s sales. The increase echoes the success of PS4 racer DriveClub, which also saw a 999% week-on-week sales boost during last year’s Black Friday.

Uncharted wasn’t the only game to receive a major sales increase during this year’s event, though. FIFA 16, which was also cut in price last week, climbed three places to No.1 thanks to a 254% sales boost, with GTA V re-entering the top 10 at No.6 (+385%). Forza Motorsport 6, which was reduced to £24.99 at Sainsbury’s, also climbed to No.10, up 10 places (+381%) from last week’s No.20.

Batman: Arkham Knight, Until Dawn, The Witcher 3, Mad Max and The Sims 4 all benefitted from Black Friday sales, too, re-entering the charts at Nos. 23, 24, 28, 31 and 35 respectively. Their week-on-week % increases have not been disclosed.

Rare Replay, which was included with the Xbox One’s lowest-priced Black Friday bundle, doesn’t feature in the top 40, however, instead landing at No.18 in the single-format Xbox One chart. From what I can gather the game was included in the bundle as a physical disc, so unless sales weren’t as high as expected, it isn’t clear why it hasn’t been accounted for by Chart-Track.

The biggest Black Friday surprise, however, is Knack, the underwhelming PS4 launch title which re-enters the charts at No.30, ahead of September’s hit Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

Total software sales for the week, though, are down by 9% on last year’s Black Friday, despite console sales actually being 8% up. More people are buying PS4s and Xbox Ones this year, too, with 86% of all console sales last week split between Sony and Microsoft’s current-gen hardware.

It isn’t yet clear which console was the overall winner, however.
