Sony Pictures has announced that the upcoming Uncharted movie starring Tom Holland is set to release on December 18, 2020.
The movie has long been mooted to be in production for several years, but traction really picked up when the current Spider-Man actor Holland was reported to have picked up the lead role in 2017. A string of directors came and went from the project until 10 Cloverfield Lane director Dan Trachtenberg was brought on board in January this year.
Relatedly, Sony launched PlayStation Productions just a few weeks ago with the aim of working with the Sony Pictures arm to bring many PlayStation franchises to TV and film.
