Amy Hennig, creative director and writer on the Uncharted series has left developer Naughty Dog, Sony has confirmed.

A statement given to IGN by Sony on the matter reads: “We can confirm that Amy Hennig has left Naughty Dog. Amy has made significant contributions to the game industry and we appreciate all she has done for Naughty Dog. The development timeline of Uncharted will not be impacted.”

Hennig, who spent 10 years at the studio, had been heading-up development of Uncharted for PS4, but IGN sources claim she was “forced out” by The Last of Us’ Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley. Control of the Uncharted franchise may now be passed to the pair.

What’s next for Hennig isn’t known.
